Power oil-filled three-phase two-winding step-down transformers of general industrial purpose, with a capacity from 10 to 1600 kVA, are designed for indoor and outdoor installation. In order to improve the cooling system in TO-25 ... 1600 kVA transformers, which have an oil conservator, radiators or corrugated walls are used.
TO transformers are available for operation at primary voltages of 6, 10, or 15.75 kV and secondary voltages of 0.4 or 0.23 kV. The winding connection scheme and group can be Y/Yn-0, D/Yn-11, or Y/Zn-11.
The main design features of POT transformers include:
- Hermetic execution of POT transformers, resulting in no connection of their internal capacity with the surrounding environment. They are fully filled with transformer oil.
- Absence of an expansion tank and air or gas "cushion"; instead, temperature changes in the oil volume are compensated by the elastic deformation of the corrugated transformer tank.
- Contact of the oil with the surrounding environment is completely absent, significantly improving the working conditions of the oil, preventing its moisture absorption, oxidation, and slag formation.
- TMG transformers practically do not require pre-start works and maintenance during operation, do not require preventive repairs and inspections throughout the entire service life.
- For monitoring the oil level in the tank, POT transformers are equipped with a floating oil level indicator located on the cover.
- For measuring the temperature of the upper layers of oil in the transformer tank, an arrow thermometer is installed.
